Attend a Repair Cafe  \nDo you have a broken household item? Don’t toss it! \nCelebrate Waste Reduction Week\, by bringing your broken/damaged small appliances\, computers\, electronics\, clothes\, jewelry\, books\, and more\, to the pop-up Repair Café at Whitby Central Library\, Meeting Room 1 on Saturday\, October 25\, 2025\, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. to learn how to repair them with our expert volunteers. \nThis event is free but slots are limited\, register today! \n2. Join the Waste Reduction Event \nIn partnership with the Rotary Club of Whitby\, recycle “hard-to-recyclable” items and help reduce your impact on our planet. Bring your old Brita filters\, printer ink cartridges\, toothbrushes\, disposal razors\, and pens\, markers and highlighters and drop them off at the designated boxes kept in the Library’s Front lobby.
