Whitby’s Repair Cafe & Waste Diversion Event

Participate in International Day of Zero Waste organized by the Town in partnership with the Whitby Public Library on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Whitby Public Library, Central Library (405 Dundas St W, Whitby) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m:
1. Attend a Repair Cafe
Do you have a broken household item? Don’t toss it!
Celebrate International Day of Zero Waste, by bringing your broken/damaged small appliances, computers, electronics, clothes, jewelry, books, and more, to the pop-up Repair Café at Whitby Central Library, Meeting Room 1 on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. to learn how to repair them with our expert volunteers.
This event is free but slots are limited, register today!
2. Join the Waste Diversion Event
In partnership with the Rotary Club of Whitby, recycle “hard-to-recyclable” items and help reduce your impact on our planet. Bring your old Brita filters, printer ink cartridges, disposable razors, air and home care products, and pens, markers and highlighters and drop them off at the designated boxes kept in the Library’s Front lobby. No registration is required.
