You’re invited!!  Join us at this year’s Grow Green Festival, a free event to celebrate World Environment Day and the current and future environmental champions making Brampton a more sustainable place!

Activities will include:

  • Bike Tune-ups
  • Native Plant Giveaway
  • Kids Table & visit from Buzz the Bee
  • Photo Booth
  • Grow Green Awards Ceremony
  • Community Partner Activities:
    • ​​​Climate Connections Mixer by Community Climate Council
      • Get to know more about the impacts of climate change and how you can get involved in local climate action opportunities.
    •  Clothing Swap by Reconnect Brampton
      • Bring your clean donate-able clothes and pick up something new.  Swap instead of Shop to help redu​​ce waste
    • Learn about Stream Restoration by Ontario Streams
      • Learn from field staff out there keeping our waterways clear and healthy. Get hands-on experience with restoration equipment and a species identification challenge

​Grow Green Awards Ceremony – 2:00 to 2:30 pm

Celebrate this year’s environmental champions during the Grow Green Awards Ceremony.  This biennial awards program recognizes outstanding individuals, businesses and organizations from across the city that:

  • have demonstrated environmental leadership and
  • have significantly contributed to the Grow Green Vision of conserving, enhancing and balancing our natural and built environments to create a healthy, sustainable and resilient Brampton.

Getting to the Festival:

  • Consider walking, rolling, cycling along the Etobicoke Creek Trail to get to the festival.
  • Additional bicycle parking will be available.
  • Additional car parking is available at Heart Lake Secondary School next door to the Recreation Centre.​​​​
